What is Hand Therapy?
Hand Therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper limb. It involves evaluation and assessment of the affected hand, wrist, elbow or shoulder, to diagnose and treat appropriately, achieving optimal client focused goals.
Practitioners of Hand Therapy are registered Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists, who through continuing education, clinical experience and independent study, have expertise in the treatment of upper extremity conditions. Accredited Hand Therapists as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association have achieved the highest credential possible in Australia for this area of work.
All of our therapists are members of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, some already have attained this credential and some are working towards it.
